Gazing at this cluster of buildings for the first time was like viewing a masterpiece that I’ve waited all of my life to see.


Sitting on a mound of earth and having been built over two thousand years ago, the Parthenon rises to the sky for all to see. I wonder what the temple meant to those who built it, to those who worshipped there, and for all of those who have made the pilgrimage to its site. It was my first time visiting Greece; I so look forward to visiting again.
